Crown Mines 2
Crown Mines
The Crowns engine houses at Botallack — two granite chambers on a narrow ledge above the Atlantic, hoisting men and ore from submarine workings that ran out beneath the seabed. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most recognisable mining ruin in Cornwall. Owned now by the National Trust; walk in from Botallack village along the coast path.
