Crantock
Crantock
Crantock beach sits on the opposite side of the Gannel Estuary from Newquay — a wide crescent of golden sand backed by tall dunes (Rushy Green) and a coiling tidal river. The dunes are a National Trust site, stable now but still shifting in places. At low tide the Gannel is forded by stepping stones; at high tide you wait for the tractor-pulled ferry. Surfing, dog-walking, and a proper pub in the village.
