Land's End is the end of England — sheer granite cliffs, the Longships lighthouse a mile offshore, and the Atlantic stretching clean to Newfoundland. Despite the theme-park buildings, the cliffs themselves haven't changed. Walk five minutes along the coast path in either direction (to Sennen, or down to Nanjizal) and the crowds vanish. The most westerly point of the English mainland.
