Minack Theatre 2
Minack Theatre
The Minack is an open-air theatre cut directly into the cliffs at Porthcurno — built by Rowena Cade and her gardener from 1929 onwards, stone by stone, for a production of *The Tempest*. The stage looks out over the turquoise sea to Pedn Vounder; seats are terraced granite. A summer's evening here, with the Atlantic at your back and Shakespeare at the front, is one of the great theatrical experiences anywhere.
