St Michaels Mount 5
St Michaels Mount
St Michael's Mount is a tidal island a short walk offshore from Marazion — crowned by a medieval castle and chapel whose stones have been continuously inhabited since the 12th century. Pilgrims, Benedictine monks, Arthurian legend, Cornish defenders, and the St Aubyn family all overlap in its history. One of the most instantly recognisable silhouettes in England. Cross on foot at low tide along the granite causeway, or by boat when the tide's in.
