Gwithian 1
Gwithian
Gwithian is the long flat surf beach at the north end of St Ives Bay — three miles of golden sand backed by dunes, pounded by Atlantic rollers, with Godrevy Lighthouse winking from its little island at the far end. Virginia Woolf's lighthouse in *To the Lighthouse* was this one. Kite-surfers, dog-walkers, and some of the most consistent beach-break surf in Cornwall.
