The Furry Dance threads through Helston's streets on the 8th of May — brass band, formal partner dance, and townspeople in and out of each other's houses as they've been doing since at least the 16th century. One of the oldest living festivals in England, rooted in welcoming the summer. A print of the morning procession is a print of a town at its best.
