Ding Dong Mine is said to be one of the oldest tin mines in Cornwall — a single engine-house chimney standing on the high moors above Madron and Penzance. The mine closed in 1877; the stack has weathered elegantly since. A classic walk from Madron or Men-An-Tol brings you past. Remote, wind-scoured Penwith moor at its purest.
