Hell Bay is the great exposed bite in Bryher's west coast — bone-white granite, kelp-green water, and the full weight of the Atlantic with nothing between here and Newfoundland. In a winter gale the spray reaches over the whole western side of the island. A print of Scilly at its wildest.
