Zennor is a tiny granite village on the Penwith coast between St Ives and Gurnard's Head — a single-lane village built round a Norman church with a mermaid carved into one of the pew-ends. The Tinners' Arms is the heart of the place. D.H. Lawrence lived at nearby Higher Tregerthen in 1916. A walk down to Zennor Head is half an hour and unforgettable.
