Daymer Bay is a soft-sand beach on the Camel Estuary opposite Padstow, sheltered by the Doom Bar sand-bar and backed by the dunes and links of St Enodoc Golf Club. The lost church of St Enodoc — pulled out from under the sand in the 19th century — sits quietly in the dunes, where Sir John Betjeman is buried. Sailing, swimming, and an air of quiet affluence.
